Sophie Monk filming new travel special

Sophie Monk is in Italy filming a new travel special for Nine.

She posted photos on Instagram revealing she is filming the unnamed show with friend Oscar Gordon.

“In Milan the fashion capital. Any suggestions of what to do in Italy guys???? Dress by: hotel ??? #Italy #faketanfeet #NeedTravelTips #TravelShow,” she wrote.

“Wine and pasta! Belisimo?… Belisamo? … Ah whatever! ?? #TheSophieMonkTravelShow with @oscargordon on @channel9”

Gordon wrote, “Whoever thought we’d be sitting in Italy shooting a TV show! So lucky to have met you and worked together on so much. Best friend I’ve ever had @sophiemonk ❤️ @channel9 @eight_hotels”

The project is believed to have been part of the deal to get her to sign for Love Island after The Bachelorette put her in demand.

Last December Michael Healy, Nine Director of Television said, “It’s great to have Sophie back to her home at Nine, from Love Island Australia to her travel special and the great energy she will bring to 9Honey and 9Now we know the audience love her.”

Meanwhile she is also confirmed to host Season 2 of Love Island.

“Sophie’s appearance on Love Island is exactly what we wanted and expected, and is in line with the format’s hosting duties as seen on the UK version,” a Channel Nine spokesman told The Daily Mail.

“Sophie is a treasured member of the Nine family and has a long-term deal with the Network. She is currently filming a travel show for us in Italy [see her Instagram post below] and we look forward to working with her on various upcoming projects.”
