Wentworth wraps: “They have my heart forever. My family.”

Wentworth star takes to social media after Season 7 wraps production.

Production on Season 7 of Wentworth wrapped in Melbourne on Friday prompting actress Katrina Milosevic to post a teal-tinged message on Instagram “I have loved the people who work within these walls. I have watched in awe, each and every one of them, each and every day.. for 7 seasons. They have my heart forever. My family.”

It follows speculation S7 may be the last for the hit prison drama on Foxtel. Fans have been reacting to the news ever since, with a Change.org petition to save the show now at over 7,600.

Foxtel and FremantleMedia have indicated talks about the show’s future are ongoing. Incoming FremantleMedia CEO Chris Oliver-Taylor is tipped to have the show high on his priority list in September, but for now cast & crew are understood to have dispersed.

  1. End it on a high!!
Better than another 2 or 3 seasons and viewers have lost interest.

Offspring went down hill with the last 2 seasons. The 1st part of season 6 and last few eps of season 7 were okay. Still think finishing at 5 seasons was the best option

  2. Agree that it’s a good fit for 10, but given S1 has already aired on Aunty … Not saying that a TV show can’t change networks between seasons but I think it may already be squared away.

David, feel free to delete the half-post that precedes this. [damn fat fingers]
