Airdate: Deadliest Catch: The Bait

What do crews endure on the Bering Sea to make Deadliest Catch?

How do they make Deadliest Catch and what do crews endure on the Bering Sea?

Matt Rogers speaks to captains in Deadliest Catch: The Bait as they preview an upcoming season.

This is a 6 part series (which seems like a lot for behind the scenes…?) next month on Discovery.

Guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat, hook, line and sinker, Deadliest Catch: The Bait is your exclusive inside look at this massive season of Deadliest Catch. Host Matt Rogers sits down with the resilient Captains of the Bering Sea to get their insights on this season’s challenges, triumphs and rivalries.

This season is proving to be the toughest on record for the crews with a super moon wreaking havoc by bringing the most powerful tidal surges in 150 years and devastating mechanical breakdowns – at a time when competition is at an all-time high with bigger quotas to fill. To make matters worse, there’s a tsunami, Coast Guard rescues are on the rise, they battle some of the worst winter storms ever and a heart-stopping, dramatic man overboard situation is a sobering reminder that this is one of the most dangerous jobs in the world.

Acting as tour guides to the season, the Captains preview upcoming episodes, share insider secrets, answer fan questions and talk shop in a round-table forum. Nothing is off limits.

Wednesdays from 19 September at 6.30pm on Discovery.
