Exclusive: 2017 panel show Screen Time is not returning to ABC.
The movie and TV review show hosted by Chris Taylor was produced in-house by ABC Arts, and featured a rotating cast of panelists including Marc Fennell, Sami Shah, Sophie Black, Michael Williams, Benjamin Law, Nakkiah Lui, Zan Rowe, Judith Lucy and Susie Youssef.
Since its conclusion late last year not much has been mentioned about whether the show would resume, with ABC indicating earlier this year it was still under consideration.
Today an ABC spokesperson told TV Tonight, “Screen Time was a one-off series in 2017. We have no plans for a second series at this time.”

I enjoyed the show. Some of the discussions were interesting, even if I found myself perplexed by some of the panelist’s viewpoints.
Not a great loss IMHO-little focus or credible critique.
I struggled with the concept….. did we really need reviews on what people were watching, some of the shows were really old.
There is a good argument that with more content than ever reviews are doubly necessary. I’ve introduced What I’ve Been Watching to help offer some extra discovery options. So far nobody seems to have improved on the simple perfection of Siskel & Ebert / Margaret & David duo despite the variations I’ve seen.
“Screen Time was a one-off series in 2017….”
What’s the bet that is news to Chris Taylor and co? 😀
