Campaign for Julia Morris to host I’m a Celebrity UK

There's a hosting vacancy in the UK and Lady JMo is ready to pounce.

The ITV family is working overtime for Julia Morris to co-host I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in the UK.

Morris appeared yesterday on ITV’s Good Morning Britain after footage of her hosting the Aussie show went viral.

Declan Donnelly is without Ant McPartlin for the UK’s upcoming season when it films in Australia due to the latter’s current recovery period.

Morris told Good Morning Britain, “I’d take the job in a heartbeat!

“I am a huge fan of the show and lived in the UK for seven years, and when I came home to Australia and heard they were doing an Australian version, I went lock, stock and two very smoking barrels to get that job because it always looked like the boys were having so much fun. So I was lucky enough to land it.”

Squeezing the show into her busy schedule could be the biggest challenge of all with Morris due to host Blind Date for TEN and rumours of Dancing with the Stars / Saturday Night Take-Away, plus I’m a Celebrity confirmed for 2019 (and that’s without factoring in touring or corporate gigs).

But not much can stop the woman with 75 years in the biz.

She recently joked, “Whilst I’m sure I’d love to add another show, I do actually have to raise my children at some point.”

  1. She’s a bit too vegemite/marmite for UK audiences. People either love her or hate her style of humour. Whereas Ant & Dec are a well loved double act. They’d be better off with a UK Partner.

  2. Surely not – she’s a talented person and way too good for the Australian or any other version of IACGMOOH! – the show is absolute dross from the bottomless pit of televisual cr*p.
