Here’s a rarity…
Aussie Damon Herriman continues to kick goals, with reports he has been cast as Charles Manson in Netflix drama Mindhunter.
Herriman, seen recently in Secret City, Squinters, Quarry and Riot, will play the crazed killer circa 1980, after his conviction.
What makes it unusual is that director Quentin Tarantino has also cast him as Manson in his feature Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, set in the late 1960s.
Reports claim that while Herriman’s casting in the Tarantino film was announced first, he was actually cast in Mindhunter much earlier, and in fact, already shot his scenes in July.
Netflix is yet to comment on the series, with no return date yet announced.
Herriman will next be seen in Mr. Inbetween, airing on Showcase on October 1.

Great news. Congrats Damon
I don’t think he is underrated he just takes smaller roles or chooses his roles very carefully, excellent actor.
agreed, a great actor, rather under rated, or maybe he’s just preferred to stay out of the spotlight. Excellent show too, if one is into that subject matter.
One of the best actors in Australia.
