LibSpill drives SKY News audience

The leadership crisis send SKY News to some of its best figures.

Interest in the leadership crisis for the Libs has driven viewership in SKY News.

It was the number one channel on the Foxtel platform on Tuesday with a 4.2% audience share, its highest rating day since 2016.

Speers drew its highest rating episode on record at 40,000. SKY claims David Speers and Kieran Gilbert were the first to report the leadership positions had been vacated. Laura Jayes was the first to confirm that Malcom Turnbull had won the leadership ballot and first to speak one-on-one with Peter Dutton following his challenge.

Credlin (71,320) and Jones & Co (98,792) set new audience records and delivered the channel’s largest Tuesday primetime audiences ever.

The Bolt Report (83,137) drew its second-best while Paul Murray Live was at its highest since 2016 at 102,631.
