Renewed: Glitch

ABC / Netflix paranormal drama has now confirmed a return for 2019.

ABC / Netflix paranormal drama Glitch has been renewed for a third season.

A teaser indicating a third season for 2019 was dropped on social media early today.

Industry chatter had indicated the series starring Patrick Brammall was returning for some time, but the video now confirms the news. Whilst overnight ratings for the series were not high, the Matchbox Pictures show still has an audience through Timeshifting, iview and -significantly- its global Netflix deal.

Season Two also featured Emma Booth, Genevieve O’Reilly, Rodger Corser, Sean Keenan, Hannah Monson, Ned Dennehy, Emily Barclay, Aaron McGrath, Rob Collins, Luke Arnold and Pernilla August.

Cast are yet to be confirmed for S3.

  1. Hopefully, the story writers will strengthen the shows plot and dialogue for season 3 the promising start seen in season 1 needed deft directorial control in season 2 but unfortunately Glitch 2 was rather weak and poorly acted in parts, which is not unusual for Australian shows, the soap genre which most Aussie actors and those in the industry learnt their craft becomes a natural fallback for those tight production deadlines.
