UK comedy Plebs has been renewed for a fifth season.
The series centres around a 20-something, lower-class Ancient Roman Marcus (Tom Rosenthal) and his slave Grumio (Ryan Sampson). The duo were joined in series one to three by Joel Fry, who played their excitable friend Stylax, with Jonathan Pointing’s Jason replacing him in series four.
All of the core cast from series four – including Rosenthal, Sampson and Pointing – are also expected to return.
Plebs has aired in Australia on ABC2 and ABC Comedy.

Everyone is moaning about Stylax but he was quiet a boring character, the guy wasn’t bad really enjoyed series 4 looking forward to 5.
Seriously?! This should have been pushed into teh corner and left to quietly decompose. Absolutely loved the first 3 series, but when Joel Fry (Stylax) left, so did the life spark of this show. Changed settings, new completely unappealing replacement character, it is just so sad. The last series stunk so much I could smell it from here. Could not even watch all the series – it just had nothing. Sometimes you just have to know when to stop. (like me right now 🙂 )
