Margaret Pomeranz & Graeme Blundell return with a second season of Screen on Foxtel Arts next week, critiquing cinema releases and TV.

The first two episodes include interviews with Jane Fonda, Sam Neill and Eddie Izzard.

In the return episode of Screen, Margaret interviews British stand-up comedian, actor, writer and political campaigner Eddie Izzard who discusses his experiences with the film industry and his involvement in the new Australian romantic comedy The Flip Side that pitches a young Australian couple against the visitors from hell.

Graeme interviews Sam Neill who traverses the Pacific to uncover the journeys of Captain Cook, currently on Foxtel’s History channel; The Pacific: In The Wake of Captain Cook with Sam Neill takes an epic and thoroughly modern look at 250 years of Pacific history.

Graeme takes a look of what is on offer on our television screens with Ryan Murphy’s extravaganza Pose premiering on showcase (September 11), a series which makes television history, featuring the largest cast of transgender actors in series regular roles, as well as the largest recurring cast of LGBTQ actors ever for a scripted series.

In the second episode of Screen on September 12, Margaret sits down with Hollywood legend and Oscar winner Jane Fonda as she discusses her recent film Book Club and her upcoming HBO documentary, Jane Fonda in Five Acts, an intimate look at Fonda, who has lived a life marked by controversy, tragedy and transformation. Directed and produced by award-winning documentarian Susan Lacy, the documentary features interviews with Robert Redford, Lily Tomlin, producer Paula Weinstein, former spouses Tom Hayden and Ted Turner and her son, “Ballers” star Troy Garity and premieres on Sunday, September 30 on showcase.
