SBS on Demand: Nox

Well this is a first…

SBS on Demand will screen French thriller Nox (not a typo) from next week.

This is a 6 part series which debuted internationally in March.

Five stars from me?

Featuring an acclaimed line-up of talent, this fast-paced crime thriller event series deliver a terrifying race against time set in the darkness beneath Paris.

Retired Cop Catherine (Nathalie Baye) is forced back into action when her daughter Julie (Maîwenn) disappears into the city’s sewers. Aided by Julie’s partner Raphaël (Mali Zidi), Catherine must chase every clue and use all her instincts to find her daughter investigating the mysteries of Julie’s past and the horrors of the city’s underbelly.

Thursday, 16 August 2018 on SBS On Demand.

  1. There are plenty of Nitrogen based NOx gases in the Parisian sewers. (I knew High School Chemistry would be useful!)
First “The Bridge” then “The Tunnel” now “The Sewer”.
BTW, the sewer under the Champs-Élysées is a tourist attraction for it’s Architecture. Obnoxious.

  2. Is it a trend in Europe to have a production line of alpha female police roles on TV or is it just a preference for the SBS, no matter it’s good to see some new shows to watch.
