Sorry Julia, ITV announces co-host for Declan Donnelly

Holly Willoughby to fill I’m A Celebrity role down under.

ITV has announced UK presenter Holly Willoughby will be joining Declan Donnelly in Australia to co-host this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

That means a late campaign for Julia Morris to replace Ant McPartlin has come to nought. Last week she appeared on Good Morning Britain after a video of her hosting skills went viral.

Willoughby is host of daytime programme, This Morning.

Declan Donnelly said, “I am hugely grateful to Holly for agreeing to accompany me to Australia this year. She was at the top of my list and I’m thrilled she said yes. It will be a different kind of series but we will try our best to ensure it is no less fun and eventful for our loyal viewers. I am also pleased to hear Holly is scared of everything. I am almost stupidly excited at the thought of watching her during the eating trials!”

Morris is set to return to the Aussie series next year, will front Blind Date for TEN and is rumoured for other TEN projects.

She also denied reports she lost work following her Logies appearance.

  1. Holly is great and will work well to cover Ant’s absence. Wish UKTV would screen this and Strictly Come Dancing, as well as some of the UK daytime programming/game shows.
