AFL pushes Seven to big win, The Bachelor tops Thursday.
Ratings: From 7:30 there were only 3 things with big crowds: AFL, Bachelor & Gogglebox.

A Thursday night AFL final has proven a big success for Seven driving it to a huge evening share.
AFL averaged 874,000 viewers (including its 7mate audience) and helped Seven to a huge 37.4% share. In Melbourne the network claimed a whopping 48% share.
From 7:30 last night there were only 3 things on telly with big crowds: AFL, Bachelor & Gogglebox. Nothing else came close.
The Bachelor even managed to top the night and the demos on a mighty 899,000, climbing higher and higher across its playout. 7:30 followed on 464,000 then Grand Designs Australia, Driving Test, RBT and Tony Robinson Down Under.
Gogglebox maintained TEN’s hefty audience at 774,000, pushing TEN into second place overall. Nine was just not competitive after A Current Affair.
Seven network won the night with a big 37.4% share then TEN 22.9%, Nine 19.3%, ABC 14.1% and SBS 6.3%.
Seven News (881,000 / 806,000) led for Seven then Seven’s AFL (874,000), The Chase (506,000 / 324,000), Home and Away (400,000 in 3 cities), Border Security (259,000 in 3 cities), Beach Cops (223,000 in 3 cities) and movie: Sweet Home Alabama (175,000 in 3 cities).
The Bachelor was #1 for TEN with 899,000 then Gogglebox (774,000), The Project (447,000 / 276,000), TEN Eyewitness News (396,000), Blue Bloods (252,000 / 130,000) and Pointless (237,000).
Nine News (892,000 / 855,000) was best for Nine then A Current Affair (650,000), Hot Seat (483,000 / 286,000), Driving Test (394,000), RBT (352,000), World’s Wildest Flights (108,000 in 2 cities), movie: Da Kath & Kim Code (103,000 in 3 cities), Kath & Kim (83,000 / 79,000 in 3 cities). NRL Footy Show was just 36,000, evenly split in 2 cities.
ABC News (612,000), 7:30 (464,000), Grand Designs Australia (447,000), Loch Ness (334,000), Sammy J (242,000) and QI (177,000).
On SBS it was Tony Robinson Down Under (220,000), SBS World News (143,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (141,000), 24 Hours in Police Custody (138,000). The Chef’s Line was 59,000.

When All Aussie adventures ends on Sunday, will that mean Australian survivor will be returning to Sunday nights as well as Monday Tuesday nights?

First and only season for Driving Test?
I think it would be good if they could cover all cities of Australia and not just Darwin.
Darwin hasn’t had many shows as the backdrop. Do we really need more Melb & Syd? In any case the reason is because in Darwin the instructor is also the tester, so it works into the drama better.
‘The instructor is also the tester’!-do they understand the concept of conflict of interest in the NT?
I’m just thinking for the ratings…
It is a great show and it’s a show for a brilliant laugh, but what if they rotated around the Northern Territory and feature students in Alice Springs, Tennant Creek, Humpty Doo, etc?
36k for the NRL footy show ? Well this will be it’s last year surely. Ch9 have NRL and a decent Thurs night show to promote the game, review and preview with some interviews but with lots more excitement is necessary in my view. They must do better. The footy show was decent until the last couple of years. They just started letting segments drag on. Keep it tight, a nice set, James Bracey as main host.
Will the AFL rating well be enough for Seven to claim the ratings week despite the Block dominating the ratings earlier this week? It will alsi be interesting to see how well the NRL rates with the Storm playing in Melbourne tonight up against an AFL final involving 2 Victorian Clubs. I am staggered how well the Bachelor rates

I will have to start watching Gardening Australia again by the looks of it.
That was classic. I’ve been noticing they’re starting to add personality to the narrator too, rather than just narrating, she’s adding to the banter on screen.
