Airdate: Playing for Keeps

TEN's new drama sets mid September premiere, but the first episode will get a limited release at tenplay.

TEN has confirmed a premiere date for its newest local drama Playing For Keeps for Wednesday, 19 September.

Based around a fictional Aussie Rules club known as the Southern Jets, the key characters are Kath (Madeleine West), Paige (Cece Peters), Tahlia (Olympia Valance), Maddy (Annie Maynard) and Jessie (Isabella Giovinazzo).

Ahead of the TV debut the entire first episode will be available 12.00pm on Wednesday, 12 September for a limited time on tenplay.

The Screentime drama carries production investment from Screen Australia, with the assistance of Film Victoria.

From the grandstands and the locker rooms to the red carpets and the bedrooms, what makes the women within the world of football’s elite tick? Infatuation, love, power or relevance?

This bold, brassy and dangerous drama depicts the lives of the sporting world’s rich and famous, proving that when the cream of the crop fly high, they sometimes feel the heat.

8:30pm Wednesday, 19 September on TEN.

  1. Wow. This show is superb. Let me just say, one of my favorite shows of all time is the UK’s Footballer’s Wives. Another one is Sons and Daughters.
I will have to watch on Ten rather than TenPlay. So much drama watching it on TenPlay. It stops. Ads are repeated? It stops again. Has my tv turned off or is an ad coming? 15 seconds of blank screen. Can I get back to where I was? Yes but it took 5mins of mucking around. I live in 3000 post code – the main Melbourne post code! How can I have bad internet connection at the main one? Is it just me or is TenPlay not a very stable platform?
This is the best Australian show any network has put up in a long time.
