Auditions: Wife Swap Australia

Reality series last seen in 2012 is getting a revival.

Wife Swap Australia is set to return to screens, with a casting notice for a new season.

The reality series previously screened on Foxtel in 2012 (pictured), produced by Shine Australia.

Now Screentime is on the hunt for a new cast, for an undisclosed broadcaster.

“The series will feature two families from different geographical and social backgrounds that swap spouses, showcasing hot-button issues like politics, classism, gender and race with the end goal of everyone finding common ground,” a casting notice declares.

“During each switch, the new spouses must at first adhere to exactly the same rules and lifestyle of the spouses being replaced, only to later establish their own rules.

“At the end, the two couples meet for the first time, where they discuss what they learned from the swap and what changes and new rules will remain once they return home.”

Filming will take place between January- March. Applicants must ensure all members of a household are willing to be filmed. Same sex couples are also encouraged to apply
