  1. They have Hugh Riminton, who I would put in the same callibre as Overton. But I feel weekends is more about obligation than anything for Ten. Changing newsreaders won’t solve that. Plus most of the WIN Network takes the weekend bulletin too so regional numbers might bump it up.

I’m still waiting to see what CBS has up their sleeve for Lisa. You don’t sign off a $2m deal for The Project and to edit a news website. They locked her down for something…

  2. The big problem for me if that Ten just don’t seem to care. Year after year they push out The Project which gets only marginal interest from viewers and despite its poor outcomes they keep producing it. Surely there has to come a point where some of their low rating shows get axed?

I agree also with the other poster that a repeat movie in Sunday prime time is very poor programming. There must be more in the cupboard than this to rely upon?

    1. The reason why The Project continues to be renewed is it’s very cheap to make. If 600,000 people watch it would still make Channel 10 a profit. Why change? A replacement would be challenged to meet the same numbers in today’s TV landscape.

    1. That comment was not necessary. We are all viewers of TV which come in many forms today is streaming, pay, FTA, etc. This site allows us to voice an opinion which is a personal opinion.

      1. I agree with Orial. Every week on this blog it’s “less Project/more Project/move the Project/more Lisa/less Lisa” Then there’s my favourite “CBS will be asking for an explanation”. Yes Im sure someone’s in the boardroom making a phone call now.

          1. I am happy with ch10s Sunday night programming. I am not a fan of the Block or Little Big Shots. So it easy, 20-30 minutes of The Project, then an episode of Ozark followed by the first episode of Jack Ryan and no ads….how good is that?

  3. Get Smart is one of those movies that’s been re-run heaps over the last 10 years and everyone has seen it, though not as good as the original series, but the movie still had some very funny moments, especially with Steve Carell and Alan Arkin or Anne Hathaway. The airplane scene is my favourite. So wouldn’t be surprised if many tuned-in / out during ad breaks of other shows, I know I did.

Still no excuse for Ten, I agree need to be trying harder for a pivotal Sunday prime slot.

  4. Ten needs to address their 6.00-7.30pm programs on all nights but particular Sunday. The Project, which l personally watch, just is not capturing the potential audience. What they offer instead is a hard one. Perhaps your readers have ideas. The time slot is critical to their future success. Maybe use Lisa in a harder ‘Sunday Night’ style show?? Perhaps poach Peter Overton to read a national news?? They need to find it somehow.

      1. Disagree on Lisa. Melissa Doyle transitioned to Sunday Night from Sunrise. I feel Ten can utilise her talents more so. Peter reads NSW news not a national bulletin but l get the drift.
