  1. The promos for Playing for Keeps really turned me off. It looked like Desperate Housewives. But I stumbled on it part way in and was pleasantly surprised. It managed to avoid most of the “WAG” cliches and the actress in the main role is a gem – so funny.

  2. Enjoyed Playing For Keeps. Have Netflix & Stan for deep layered dramas. PFK was exactly what I hoped it would be. Trashy, soapy and fun…..thought the cast were good. Should settle into addictive viewing.

  3. I’d love all Australian programs to succeed, but Playing For Keeps was just woeful. Terrible script, hammy performances and nothing early on to hook viewers in. I’ll be going back to Netflix to stream some quality drama instead.

  4. Shaun had a lot of catch up stories plus a couple of knife-edge situations. I expect the numbers to drop next week if we still have a Govt and Peter Dutton doesn’t row across Lake Burley Griffin and demand entry to the High Court. The sack of spuds from the Parliament of Potato will remain in the boat.

  5. Interesting and good for 10 that their Drama debut higher than Bite Club. Always wishing Aussie dramas to succeed. Bite Club shouldn’t be discounted as it is only 10,000 less than 800words (an existing drama)

    1. It annoys me how they are both on at the same time. We go for months without any aussie dramas and then they air at the same time. Yet to watch playing for keeps, will try and catch up tonight.

      1. It will be repeated several times on 10,11 or 12 over the next week-looks like Friday night to start.-you do also realise it’s possible to watch something and record something else at the same time…

        1. Obviously.. I just think it’s silly having two aussie dramas going neck and neck and then people get put out of a job when the numbers come up as poor. Both Bite Club and Playing For Keeps are competing for the same audience.

          1. Yes, I have previously lamented at the lack of Aussie dramas for most the year & yes now we’re inundated and I can’t watch them all either. Currently have Rake, Bite Club and Dead Lucky all unwatched collecting on my hard drive, while I watch 800words & Dr Dr! I’ve only just watched Harrow which was excellent! Now Playing 4 Keeps is addingvto my harddrive too!
