Emmy Awards 2018: winners

The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel, Game of Thrones and The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story were amongst big winners at the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles.

Amazon’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel picked up 5 awards including Best Comedy, The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story won 3 and HBO’s Game of Thrones won 2 including Best Drama.

Also winning 2 were Godless, The Crown, Barry and The Americans.

The show opened with a clever musical comment on diversity “We Solved It” with RuPaul, Ricky Martin, John Legend and more -joking that there was no room for straight, white guys.

Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost and Michael Che as hosts withe more jokes on US issues including politics, harassment, diversity and streaming services.
