There were a lot of moving parts to Thursday’s schedule, with TEN managing second place in primary channels. But in the end Seven emerged victor for the night.
The Bachelor had an easy win its timeslot while Nine and Seven screened different titles in different cities. Cassie was sent packing to the tune of 835,000 viewers, ahead of Justin Milne sent packing (by his own hand) with 572,000 on 7:30.
A Footy Show (season) finale looked like it was a last-ever edition as it reminisced over the show’s 25 year history. Both AFL / NRL editions bowed out with 472,000 to The Front Bar‘s 372,000. In Melbourne Nine averaged 247,000 to Seven’s 229,000.

Is it true Sam will be leaving for good? Is there a snowflakes chance he stays?
Thanks.
An Inquisitive Iriot.
I watched the final 10 mins of AFLFS on the nationwide stream on the 9now and noticed that there were performances from BEP, Party Rock anthem. The footy show wrapped up at 10:29pm (Melbourne time). Didn’t have the chance to stream the bit of the nrl footy show (as I have been feeling quite stressed over the past few days)
Survivor US must have rated badly as its now moved to 9.30pm Thursday night.
Something that has always let The AFL Footy Show down is the version in Sydney in Melbourne it got 247,000 but Sydney’s NRL version only got 78,000 which is just woeful. If Sydney was pulling their weight and getting a similar figure this would not even be discussed…Maybe they should combine both shows together and save some money as well
Not so much a pulse, more like people turning up to the funeral
Good result for The Front Bar. Channel 9’s Footy Show looks set for the axe
Maybe The Footy Show should start at 7.30 every week to get the jump on The Front Bar
The Footy Shows concert stage was event TV so considering budget difference, a great result for The Front Bar.
Guessing starting the AFL Footy Show at 7:30pm in Melbourne and getting an hour jump on The Front Bar probably helped that average nudge past The Front Bar by that 18,000.
The footy show still has a pulse.
Does someone have Philip Nitschke’s number?
Yeah, so did Before the Game 5 or 6 years ago, in the same market. And that cost significantly less than The Footy Show.
TV is business after all.
It sure does still a quality program
