Joanna Lumley off to the Silk Road
Updated: Ab Fab star has filmed another travel doco, this time from Venice to the Chinese border.

Joanna Lumley (currently seen in travel docos on both ABC & SBS) has another on the way, Joanna Lumley’s Silk Road Adventure.
Launching this week in the UK, the series sees her travel from Venice to the Chinese border over 4 episodes.
“I’m embarking on a 7000-mile journey following the route of the legendary Silk Road, that throughout history helped spread all manner of foods, inventions and cultures across Asia and Europe…my most adventurous and exotic journey yet,” she said.
A perilous network of paths, the Silk Road shaped the modern world, bringing silk, printing, spices, gunpowder, and many other things, to the West. Joanna’s adventure will see her travel through a breath-taking array of fabulous landscapes as she crosses continents, deserts, mountains and steppe, boldly following in the footsteps of the merchants, conquerors, kings and pilgrims who once lived and died along this route.

Always love Joanna’s travel docos.
I absolutely love these travel series with Joanna. She has a very engaging way about her that you can’t help but be enthralled in her and her adventures. Love her in the Siberian raliways and India docos. Be sure to advise DK when it airs here please!
