Poor night for Seven
Ratings: Seven sank at 7:30 with a royal special and never recovered, with wins by The Block & Four Corners.

Seven was hammered by opposition shows last night as it continues to struggle with Mondays.
Seven was competitive with its early evening programming but from 7:30 it tumbled with a royal special and never recovered. Thankfully its multichannels did better business.
The Block was too strong at 1.09m viewers and topping the demos. Australian Survivor was up at 732,000 with a dramatic tribal council, then Australian Story / 7:30 leaving Seven’s Harry & Meghan special in fourth place at just 358,000.
Four Corners won at 8:30 on a strong 755,000 followed by Have You Been Paying Attention? on 744,000. Doctor Doctor‘s 667,000 was up, then Media Watch. A Crime Investigation Australia repeat on Seven could only manage 273,000.
24 Hours in Emergency was best for SBS.
Seven News won its slot and A Current Affair was high.
Nine network won Monday with 31.1% then Seven 24.2%, ABC and TEN both 19.2% and SBS 6.3%.
The Block was #1 for Nine at 1.09m viewers then Nine News (895,000 / 860,000), A Current Affair (869,000), Doctor Doctor (667,000) and Hot Seat (473,000 / 317,000). Footy Classified drew 141,000 in 3 cities. 100% Footy was just 33,000 in 2 cities.
Seven News (937,000 / 918,000) led for Seven then Home and Away (655,000), The Chase (575,000 / 321,000), Harry & Meghan: The Next Chapter (358,000), Crime Investigation Australia (273,000) and Bancroft (168,000 ).
Four Corners (755,000) won its slot for ABC then Australian Story (718,000), ABC News (709,000), 7:30 (674,000), Media Watch (627,000) and Q&A (455,000).
Have You Been Paying Attention? (744,000) led for TEN then Australian Survivor (732,000), The Project (549,000 / 305,000), TEN Eyewitness News (376,000), Pointless (215,000) and Street Smart (212,000).
On SBS it was 24 Hours in Emergency (183,000), Princess Diana’s Wicked Stepmother (162,000), SBS World News (139,000), Hugh’s Fat Fight (137,000) and The Chef’s Line (63,000).
9GO!’s Big Bang was big at 220,000.

News Breakfast: 112,000 / 42,000

When will Seven learn Royal docos don’t rate.
Just saw 7’s commercials for more Royal docos coming up from this Sunday.

Seven have proclaimed themselves “home of the Royals”. It sort of made sense for the wedding, but now? Not logical at all.
Never really been into the whole Survivor thing, but have been watching the last couple of weeks.
Last night’s Tribal Council was epic!
Didn’t see that coming.
How good was it?! Heart was in mouth for all of the tribal council. Beautifully produced and packaged. Glad the ratings were up.
Did 9 combine the figures for the two Doctor Doctor episodes? Next week is currently TBA in that slot with Doctor Doctor returning the week after.
Looks like it for 3 cities. It still plays Syd / Bris next week.
Channel Nine Perth even won the night with Total People. Rare for the West.
Another “Royal Special” for the umpteenth time. No wonder it come 4th in its time slot
And rightly so! No one cares anymore about these two…. I’m surprised 300,000 still have nothing better to do than watch that.
