Take Me Out in lukewarm debut for Seven
Ratings: Dating show is fourth in its slot, Neighbours wedding gets modest lift. Nine wins Monday.

Seven’s new dating show Take Me Out has landed fourth in its timeslot with 604,000 viewers.
The Block dominated the slot and the demos with a big 1.07m viewers, with ABC second with a combo of 7:30 high at 739,000 and Australian Story on 694,000. Australian Survivor was next at 640,000.
A note sent by Seven maintains the timeslot was up 173% based on last Monday (frankly just underlining how dismally Dance Boss did) and that the episode has been available online since last week.
Have You Been Paying Attention? won its slot with 774,000, if down on last week’s 801,000. Doctor Doctor and Four Corners followed with Seven’s combo of 9-1-1 / Ramsay next in various cities.
A Current Affair won its slot with a political interview, normally poison for commercial TV. Seven News and The Chase won their slots again.
Neighbours nuptials saw a modest lift, from 134,000 to 172,000 last night.
Nine network won Monday with 29.3% then Seven 26.0%, ABC 19.4%, TEN 19.2% and SBS 6.2%.
The Block (1.07m) was #1 for Nine then Nine News (987,000 / 965,000), A Current Affair (828,000), Doctor Doctor (647,000) and Hot Seat (546,000 / 337,000). Footy Classified was 161,000 in 3 cities. 100% Footy was 89,000 in 2 cities.
Seven News (1.94m / 1.03m) led for Nine then Home and Away (691,000), Take Me Out (604,000), The Chase (603,000 / 364,000), Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell and Back (262,000) and 9-1-1 (212,000 in 3 cities).
ABC News (777,000), 7:30 (739,000), Australian Story (694,000), Four Corners (598,000), Media Watch (544,000), Q&A (510,000), comprised ABC’s night.
Have You Been Paying Attention? (774,000) won its slot for TEN then Australian Survivor (640,000), The Project (554,000 / 326,000), TEN Eyewitness News (389,000), Pointless (253,000), Street Smart (184,000) and The Graham Norton Show (116,000).
On SBS it was Empire of the Tsars (205,000), 24 Hours in Emergency (165,000), SBS World News (149,000) and The Body Coach (108,000). The Chef’s Line drew 62,000.
ABC KIDS’ Octonauts topped multichannels with 182,000.

Surprising. I thought it would have a big curiosity figure for the first show. Makes you wonder where it will go from here. Then again, there have been other terrible shows who have found a home on the internet (and fortunately, out of sight).
Wow they really are running out now – seven said they wanted a restaurant revolution so they took us in A big adventure to a celebrity splash. But ran their slow race with Spartan and Single wives
Yeah Joel’s talents are definitely wasted on this show. I reckon he should take over for Grant on Games of Games, sorry but I can already tell Grant will definitely let that show down, he’s good but doesn’t have wit. Exactly the thing that would make it perfect for Joel.
Seven Publicity clearly has no shame, or perhaps more likely a serious case of stupidity.
Claiming their latest dud show is outperforming their previous dud.
A lot like the Black Knight in the Monty Python movie who gets decapitated limb by limb but keeps protesting ” It’s only a flesh wound.”
Really guys have some respect. For you and your audience.
Maybe time to put on Queen’s rather apt track ” Another One Bites The Dust.”

Joel is wasted on this show. He is witty and a good host. The show was awful. I wish our young people had more pride and self respect.
Sarah Fergusons interview with Steve Bannon last night on 4 Corners was brilliant.

…and scary (in content). But it is not often that you see people of two such different opinions congratulating each other at the end of an interview.
So that’s now two shows Seven has promoted heavily, over a number of months, that haven’t debuted well. Promo fatigue perhaps? Perhaps another strategy is in order.
I remember all they would advertise on 7 catchup for about 2 months straight was Dance Boss. I was sick of the show 8 weeks before it even aired.
Do you have any audience figures for Credlin, Bolt and Murray on Sky News on WIN?
My understanding is it isn’t a channel in the RegionalTAM panel, much like those shopping channels.

When vacuous meets pretentious meets self absorbed meets wanna be, that’s what you get on Take Me Out.
I don’t think Take Me Out will last too long. A lot of the ladies were a bit too far over the top for me and a little bit of Joel Creasy goes a long way with me.
Pointless not getting any bump from Think Tank coming off the schedule.
7 will be disappointed at Take Me Out. That set alone they won’t get their money back for. Lots of advertising. Creasy overplayed the part- he should of been more natural as his normal disposition is enough doesn’t need slap more on. I thought it was casting genius but turned out to be a nightmare.
Australian story was excellent last night. Surprised 4 corners didn’t rate bit better. Sarah is the best in the business at interviews in my view. First time I’ve watched QandA in months given the poltical turmoil and plus Alan Jones makes it interesting, even if you don’t agree with him.

Street Smart needs to go – it’s an instant turn off. Or at least relegated to a (much) later timeslot, as mentioned previously.
While the Neighbours increase doesnt look much on raw numbers, it’s actually up by almost 30%, which is a pretty significant lift.
Time to flip Street Smart and Graham Norton around. I imagine a Russell “Encore” would maintain more audience from HYBPA.
Nice to see a lift for Neighbours, be interesting to see what consolidated and Tens Encore can bring.
2 things stopped me checking out Take Me Out. Joel Creasey (I am gay but I don’t find him funny at all) & the relentless ads which made me feel that the whole thing was scripted like HYBPA.
Have a squiz tonight. He really is a good host.
Agree, Joel is a great host but the show is average.

I watched the first 20 minutes, I don’t find him funny either, he does camp it up a bit, but the whole show is a bit tacky. Kudos for 7 to give it a go.
