Your Money channel to launch on October 1

The Nine and SKY News Channel will feature on both Free to Air & Pay TV.

New business, personal finance and lifestyle channel, Your Money, will launch on Monday October 1 on Channel 95 (Free to Air), replacing Extra.

The Nine Entertainment and Australian News Channel will also screen on Pay TV channel 601 replacing SKY News Business.

The editorial team under CEO said Kylie Merritt, comprises Chris Kohler, Brooke Corte and Ticky Fullerton from News Corp’s Holt Street headquarters.

While the channel will have its ratings measured it won’t add to any of Nine’s share.

According to the Australian Financial Review, a channel spokesman declined to comment and said further details will be announced soon.

Update: Economics Editor at The Australian, Adam Creighton will join the channel.

Creighton has been an economics writer at the national broadsheet for almost seven years. He worked for the Reserve Bank and studied economics at Oxford University. He has also written for the Wall Street Journal, The Spectator, The Economist and Oxford University Press.

Now, in addition to his role as Economics Editor of The Australian, Creighton will host a daily program as part of Your Money’s rolling day time business and finance coverage.
