AFL Grand Final draws 2.6m viewers

West Coast Eagles’ win at the AFL Grand Final was the top drawcard of the ratings year, giving Seven yet another ratings week.

The nail-biting game averaged 2.6m metro viewers -with 1.25m of them in Melbourne alone. It rose to 2.63m for the Presentations (which probably includes the final minutes up to the siren).

Overall however, the game was down on 2017’s 2.68m viewers and 2.8m for Presentations.

  1. According to the AFL wesbsite
Grand Final peak audience of 4.297 million and averaging 3.378 million viewers. So why does the figures say 2.6 Million ?? It also said that this years grand final numbers trump last season’s Grand Final, of 3.563 million but this says last years was bigger??
