2018 UK drama Age Before Beauty begins this Sunday on BBC First.

The 6 part series stars Robson Green, Sue Johnston, Polly Walker and James Murray and is described as a family drama set in a Manchester beauty salon.

It aired in the UK in May.

From the pen of the BAFTA nominated Debbie Horsfield, writer of Poldark and creator of much-loved hit showing Cutting It, comes this contemporary new drama set in a failing family-run beauty salon in Manchester. Emotional, entertaining and packed with colourful, memorable charcters, Age Before Beauty is Cutting It for a new generation – exploring a fascination with staying young, a fear of ageing, instant grantification and long-term relationships in an irresistable setting. Family feuds and bitter rivalries, professional and personal, escalate as the series follows the lives and loves of this dysfunctional family, working together in the salon amongst the Botox, fillers and face-lifts. In this business, the staff are as high maintenance as the customers – but will the secrets and lies simmering under the surface destroy the family – or liberate it?
