Airdate: Imposters

2017 comedy about a con artist gets a Free to Air screening.

Another rare case of a Stan title coming to Free to Air as US dark comedy Imposters begins next week on Nine.

The 2017 series, originally called My So Called Wife, follows con artist Maddie (Inbar Lavi), who gets involved in relationships before leaving them “used and robbed of everything – including their hearts.”

The cast also includes Uma Thurman as fixer’ Lenny Cohen who’s described as being ‘lethal, articulate and mysterious’.

The show ran for 2 seasons before being cancelled.

The ten-episode series follows seductive con artist Maddie (Inbar Lavi), who leaves a trail of jilted lovers in her path when she fleeces them of their assets before disappearing from their lives. Maddie’s get-rich scheme hits a snag when three of her former victims – Ezra (Rob Heaps), Richard (Parker Young) and Jules (Marianne Rendón) – join forces to stop her targeting the next unsuspecting person. The scorned trio manage to find Maddie just as she’s pursuing her next mark, Patrick (Stephen Bishop).

11:30pm Thursday November 8 on Nine.
