Invictus Games: closing ceremony

Birds of Tokyo, Colin Hay, The Kingdom Choir to perform at final event.

Here are the details of the Invictus Games Closing Ceremony.

Saturday 27 October 7.30pm on ABC.
Invictus Games Sydney 2018 competitors, their family and friends and a host of special guests will gather to celebrate the unconquered human spirit of our wounded warriors at the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Closing Ceremony.

Performing for the audience, that will include TRH, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, will be an all-star line-up of international and local artists including Grammy nominated Aloe Blacc, Aria award-winning rock band Birds of Tokyo, Colin Hay, The Kingdom Choir, NAIDOC award-winner Chris Tamwoy, the Admiral’s Band and Drum Corps, Marliya from Spinefex Gum and Starley.

MC’d by ABC’s Kumi Taguchi and Nate Byrne, the Closing Ceremony of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 will be broadcast live from Sydney Olympic Park on ABC TV and streamed live on iview and on ABC TV + iview’s social channels, for viewing around the world.

ABC’s coverage will be anchored by Chris Bath with co-host Anthony “Lehmo” Lehmann and Dylan Alcott, with Curtis McGrath joining them as military expert and commentator.

The Closing Ceremony will be a celebration of the triumphs and inspiring spirit of the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 competitors, as the Invictus Games flag is passed to the Dutch city of The Hague where the next Invictus Games will be staged in 2020.
