Still a contentious case, the death of legendary Natalie Wood is the subject of a Discovery doco Natalie Wood: An American Mystery.

This special examines the suspicious circumstances surrounding Natalie Wood’s drowning more than three decades ago; a controversial case that continues to resonate as one of Hollywood’s greatest tragedies. Retracing the events that led to that fateful night in 1981 it explores her rise to fame and tumultuous relationship with Robert Wagner and features exclusive interviews with those who were on the scene. Initially deemed an accident, Wood’s case was officially re-opened in 2011 due to dramatic new eyewitness testimony, and more recently, Robert Wagner has been deemed a “person of interest” by the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
