Nine claims 4th ratings week

Ratings: Primetime NRL Grand Final gives Nine the week. Bachelor finale scores for TEN.

Having the NRL Grand Final in primetime helped Nine to win only its 4th ratings week of the year.

The match won by the Sydney Roosters pulled an impressive 2.13m metro viewers. Despite the AFL Grand Final at 2.6m arvo viewers in the previous week, Seven benefited less with its primetime share.

Last week TEN drew up to 1.24m viewers for a controversial Bachelor finale, and claimed Thursday night in the process.

SBS series Go Back to Where You Came From Live did little to lift SBS, drawing 233,ooo as its highest audience on Tuesday.

Nine led in 16-39 and 25-54 demos.

Nine won Sunday, Monday & Wednesday. Seven scored Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. TEN won Thursday. ABC bettered TEN on Sunday & Friday.

Nine won Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane. Seven was victorious in Adelaide & Perth.

Seven: Seven News (966,000), Jimmy Barnes: Working Class Boy (730,000) and The Good Doctor (712,000).

  1. 4 ratings wins and we’re in October….not a great result for Nine. Despite the dominance of NRL grand final..hardly an emphatic win for Nine network. With the Block due to finish soon not sure Nine to win will more than 2 weeks for the rest of the year.
