Nine scores latest ratings week

Ratings: Nine pips Seven for the week. And does SBS have a problem?

Nine has won its 5th ratings week of the year with The Block now with just 2 episodes remaining.

It defeated Seven by just 0.7%, which could feasibly shrink with Timeshifted viewing.

Without Australian Survivor and Bachelor Nick Cummins, TEN’s share has slipped back behind ABC.

Meanwhile SBS’ top 4 shows were all British history and social documentaries -should it allocate more primetime to other cultures?

If you look at Prime-time SBS1 this week, it is all UK and US shows, except for Dateline and Insight. SBS hasn’t been about “other cultures” for years

    1. While foreign language hasn’t been prominent for some time I do think you’re overlooking my point. In the past there has always been other shows such as Insight, Handmaid’s Tale, docos on Egypt or Ancient Rome, travel or food shows etc that have been in the top ranking titles. This is the first time I can remember a clean sweep of top 4 as British, and I think it was 5 for that matter.
