Renewed: Disenchantment

Netflix plan takes Matt Groening series through to 2021.

Matt Groening’s animated comedy Disenchantment is getting a second season.

Netflix has ordered another 20 episodes, to be rolled out in two instalments .

The first batch S1 debuted in August, with the second part of the first season to premiere in 2019. The second season will then debut in 2020, with the second half of the season premiering in 2021.

“We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix,” Groening said. “Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”

The series follows the story of Bean, an alcoholic princess, her elf companion Elfo, and her “personal demon” Luci, who live in a medieval kingdom known as Beanlandia.

The voice cast includes Abbi Jacobson, Nat Faxon, Eric Andre, John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche & Tress MacNeille.

  1. It’s not really funny but its a ripping yarn. I like the characters and the interplay between them. The cliffhangar at the end of season one wasn’t all that unexpected but I will be interested to see how it is resolved. If you are looking for another Futurama you will be disappointed. It’s still better than The Simpsons.
