Returning: Family Food Fight

Foodie show to return in late October, the night after The Block auction.

Season 2 of Family Food Fight is now confirmed for Monday, October 29 on Nine.

This season sees Matt Moran, Anna Polyviou and Tom Parker Bowles return as judges and families of 4 trimmed to duos, but still with cuisine specialities.

Chef and restaurateur, Matt Moran, said: “This year Family Food Fight is vastly different. The game changers are harder, the challenges take contestants way outside their comfort zones, and the contestants themselves are highly competitive. We’ll see a melting pot of different nationalities and be presented with home-cooking secrets that on occasion shock us all.”

The Endemol Shine Australia format, developed with Nine, has recently seen more deals internationally including United Kingdom, Argentina and a rare series deal at ABC in the USA.

Season two will see eight new food-loving families from across the country go head-to-head in the kitchen in the quest to find Australia’s No. 1 food family and the $100,000 prizemoney.

The series will put the families through their culinary paces as only the best cooking will be rewarded. The pressure will be on from the get-go to deliver, or risk elimination.

Family rivalries will flare as they cook to impress the judges who are acclaimed chef and restaurateur Matt Moran, pastry chef Anna Polyviou, and internationally renowned food writer and critic Tom Parker Bowles.

Family Food Fight has quality home cooking at its heart and captures the essence of what brings families together at meal times and celebrations. A whole new intensity this season will see families going over and above their cooking skills in order to claim the coveted top spot.

Monday, October 29, at 7.30pm on Nine.

  1. Saying they’re more competitive this year, I hope they won’t be nasty & bitchy. That’s what I liked about it they were nice to each other.

    1. We totally agree. They seem like a nice bunch, but we are probably going to see lots of pasta again.
The vegans will put themselves in a hole if they don’t stick to the brief, – meat means meat, not nutmeat. You do get a good laugh with Tom parker-boules brilliant facial expressions.
