Shannon Noll pleads guilty to drugs, given good behaviour bond.

Singer & reality star given a 12-month good behaviour bond, but escapes conviction.

Singer Shannon Noll has pleaded guilty to drug possession and given a 12-month good behaviour bond.

Police caught Noll, 42, with 0.53 grams of cocaine at Caringbah Hotel in September.

Sutherland Local Court magistrate Glenn Walsh today noted farmers and celebrities (including Kyle Sandilands) were among those who provided character references for Noll, who has fallen from his “high perch” and suffers “a severe case” of depression.

The court also heard Noll has donated an estimated $1 million to charity but suffered significantly from the publicity surrounding his case and had lost at least two jobs since his drug possession charge became public.

“He’s never really gotten over the death of his father,” Mr Walsh said.

He added a conviction would be “going too far” and “if he (Noll) wants to resurrect and continue his career, clearly a … conviction would be most adverse to him”.

The former Australian Idol and I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here reality star has recently been in headlines over an abusive onstage rant in July and security removing him from an Adelaide strip club in January last year.
