Fairfax Media has reportedly commenced legal proceedings against Network 10 over its logo and trademark for 10 Boss.
AFR Boss is a brand within the Australian Financial Review while 10 Boss centres around “bold, confident characters.”
10 relaunched its ONE multichannel as 10 Boss on October 31st and previously adjusted the design after complaints from Fairfax. Originally their logo had a number 10 sitting in a circle, next to the word BOSS (below)
Fairfax is currently undergoing a takeover by Nine Entertainment Co. with shareholders voting in favour of the deal.
An ‘interlocutory’ hearing will occur on December 3. No word if Judge Judy is presiding.
10 so far has declined to comment.

yawn… surprised channel 9 isn’t suing with all the circles 10 is using. but I guess as long as they use less than 9 circles it’s all good.
Just wait until Hugo Boss gets involved ! He’ll have their guts for garters for sure. Really, two very different forms of media content I would have thought , and not much chance of an AFR Boss reader mistaking a Ten brand for same ….
If Apple couldn’t win a case against the stylised apple logo that Woolworths changed to then this AFR Boss brand has no chance lol.
Don’t you mean trail By Kyle lol ?
After Xmas there will be no Fairfax, it will be Nine entertainment who is boss lol
Rather than Judge Judy maybe it will end up being an episode of Trial By Kyle and they can have the Goggle Box people watch. Foxtel likely won’t mind as it’s their competition in Fairfax, plus they can also run a campaign in the Herald-Sun and what ever the other States associated News Corp papers are.
