60,000 posts and counting…

TV Tonight has passed another milestone.

TV Tonight has passed another milestone, now surpassing 60,000 published posts!

That’s an awful lot of news, programming, interviews, ratings and opinion in the 11 years the site has been online.

The media landscape is constantly changing, with media mergers, management changes, rebranding, reboots, industry campaigns, court cases, and the challenge to discover new content (or find where it has moved to). There is never any shortage of info to write about!

This week alone I’m attending two Upfronts, the Screen Forever Conference and juggling talent & exec interviews while frantically keeping the site ticking over  -all with an eye on editorial and hopefully a bit of fun.

But I was reminded how much it is all appreciated during Sammy J’s yoga routine at ABC Upfronts this week.

“Furiously checking the ratings on TV Tonight at 10 o’clock every morning,” he joked (cheque is in the mail Sammy!).

My thanks to loyal readers for logging on, sharing the passion and weighing in with your views!

David.

  1. Woo hoo Congratulations! I am still astounded at how much information and the prolific rate the posts appear, even when on hiatus. I am glad that your merry team of one function so effectively and efficiently. My knowledge of all things TV would be abysmal without you. So thanking you for keeping the passion and our connection to TV alive!

  2. The only site that I check daily, thanks David for the info and the time that you spend on the site. I and many other people really appreciate the information that you have been providing for such a long time.

  3. I came the same way as many…Googling for TV info I could not find anywhere else….you were black/orange then….I stayed because I really enjoy your writing….so many interesting reads….and all power to you, that you do it all on your own…. Long may this blog continue…and Thank you!

  4. Fantastic David! Very informative and like how you keep us updated on Netflix and Stan programming. Many great series I have watched due to some of the recommendations on here

  5. David , I have said this before , thanks for everything you do , I wish you and yours all the love in the world, have a great break over the holidays , love always JP

  6. Scary to think how many of those 60,000 posts I’ve probably read.

Really appreciate this site more than ever though with most other media sites reducing themselves to showbiz fluff like “Surprise – child star from 20 years ago is now an adult” and “20 things about something that you really don’t need to know but we’ll tell you anyway”.

Also appreciate you still actually write articles rather than just expand on the headline with a couple of sentences, throw in a dozen Twitter posts and then finish off with a tedious link to a previous article.

  7. I came many many years ago when I googled The Amazing Race (US) trying to find when it was returning to AUS tv, haven;t looked back at all. Its my morning read daily. I think the site was green (?) and was just a scroll down website then. Congrats DK, you’re a modern day marvel! XX

  8. Your hard work does not go unnoticed David. This is the only site that I actually believe what I am reading without a second thought. Very classy posts and interviews. Very much appreciated.

  9. David, isn’t it a bit cheeky , to up the number of posts by getting us to all posting about the number of posts we have already posted. —– congrats.
