ABC rides on entertainment success

Ratings: Hold the phone. ABC has beaten 10 every night of the week.

This may well be a first…. ABC has beaten 10 every night of the week.

Buoyed by a strong light entertainment slate, including Spicks & Specks Reunion, Hard Quiz and Mad as Hell, it drew a 19.3% share. The win comes just 2 weeks after 10’s Upfronts.

Commercial networks may well be limping to the finish line with sporadic successes, but Seven had another clear win, including every night of the week, every city and the key demos 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

  1. Tens Pointless has cost them the week …not only at 6pm but massively killing the lead out to The Project at 6:30….multiply those numbers by 5 and it’s a disaster …in yet they are calling for more Pointless contestants…
Plus Sunday night starting at 7:30 pm with all their big shows half Ann hour after everyone else is massively wrong …what are CBS doing allowing this to happen

  2. Appalling and embarrassing result for 10. 2019 can’t come soon enough but they’re going to be starting from way behind their nearest competitors there too. No sport to promote new shows, while Seven and Nine have cricket and tennis, will prove tough.

  3. Is it coincidence that 10s numbers have fallen since they stopped sending info to TV tonight…given that many people wind up here from Google searches …I did…just saying…
And I watched Spicks & Specks Reunion on ivew again…honestly…that jam session at the end has to be one of the best…ever!

    1. I think it’s just coincidence. Reminders of shows here are helpful, but I usually just go though the EPG on my TV to see what’s on that night. However, the lack of publicity for 10 here would surely be having some effect.

      1. My EPG frequently fails to show the 10 channels properly anyway. Not sure if it is their fault (not having the EPG coded properly) or just that my tv doesn’t like 10.
