2018 HBO drama Succession is coming to FOX Showcase in December, which is to be applauded given the subject.
The series stars Brian Cox as the patriarch of a global media empire in which his dysfunctional offspring are fighting for control of the company.
According to writer Jesse Armstrong the writers room discussed the Murdochs, William Randolph Hearst, British press baron Robert Maxwell, and even Queen Elizabeth. The full season will available On Demand same date as the premiere.
The cast also includes Aussie Sarah Snook and a recurring role from Ashley Zukerman.
This aired in the US in June to good reviews and has been renewed for a second season.
Succession tracks the lives of the Roy family as they contemplate their future once their aging father begins to step back from the media and entertainment conglomerate they control.
