Airdate: The Last O.G.

Tracy Morgan comedy produced by Jordan Peele comes to Stan in December.

Great to see Tracy Morgan’s return in a series with The Last O.G. coming to Stan in December.

Morgan suffered a near-fatal car accident in 2014 and could not make a public appearance for another 12 months, amid ongoing rehabilitation.

The comedy created by Jordan Peele and John Carcieri, debuted in the US in March and has been renewed for a second season.

Season 1 will drop in its entirety on December 7, with season 2 coming 2019, same day as the U.S.

The comedy series marks Tracy Morgan’s triumphant return to television alongside Tiffany Haddish (Girl’s Trip, Keanu), Allen Maldonado (Black-ish), Ryan Gaul (House of Lies, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$) and Cedric the Entertainer (Barbershop, Be Cool). Tracy Morgan executive produces The Last O.G. alongside creator and executive producer Jordan Peele.

The series, which was the largest scripted cable comedy premiere in the U.S. since 2015, follows an ex-con released from a 15-year prison stint to a changed and unfamiliar world. Returning to his newly gentrified Brooklyn neighbourhood, Tray (Morgan) discovers that his former girlfriend Shay (Haddish) has married an affable, successful white man (Gaul) and has been raising Tray’s twins (Taylor Mosby & Dante Hoagland), who he never knew existed. Season one is executive produced by Morgan, Peele, Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum, John Carcieri and Joel Zadak.

Friday December 7 on Stan.
