Nine nabs tight race for Sunday

Pulling under-performing shows from Sunday schedules has helped two networks to improve their numbers but they could also be accused of some “filler” titles.

Nine yanked Family Food Fight a week ago after its was dragging down 60 Minutes and bringing in RBT, while10 has relegated Game of Games to Saturdays replacing it with The Graham Norton Show.

60 Minutes won its slot with 713,000 viewers ahead of All Together Now on 698,000, ABC News, Don’t Stop the Music (from 7:40pm) and The Graham Norton Show. The latter came in at 354,00 from 7:30pm which is least better than GoG last week on 229,000. SBS trailed with its Pompeii’s Final Hours doco.

Sunday Night led after 8pm with 611,000 ahead of RBT of 554,000, Maigret from 8:30pm, a Jason Bourne movie and NCIS.

Nine network won Sunday with 30.9% then Seven 29.2%, ABC 19.7%, 10 14.1% and SBS 7.5%.

Seven News was #1 for Seven with 913,000 then All Together Now (698,000), Sunday Night (611,000) and Manhunt (297,000).

Nine News (851,000) led for Nine followed by 60 Minutes (713,000), RBT (554,000) and movie: Jason Bourne (421,000).

ABC News (654,000), Maigret (535,000) and Don’t Stop the Music (518,000) comprised ABC’s night. City in the Sky drew 139,000.

The Graham Norton Show (354,000) led for 10 then The Sunday Project (353,000 / 218,000), NCIS (291,000 / 213,000), 10 News First (274,000), and Bondi Rescue (151,000).

On SBS it was Pompeii’s Final Hours (244,000), SBS World News (165,000), Hitler & Churchill (137,000), The 2000s (93,000 / 89,000) and The 1900s (52,000 / 40,000).

a 9GO! movie Back to the Future III topped multichannels a 161,000.
