Nine to screen Louis CK movie

2016 family movie is a long way from 2017 #metoo drama that centred around US comedian.

On Saturday Nine will screen 2016 family movie The Secret Life of Pets, ignoring recent headlines surrounding the US comedian.

Louis CK voices the film’s lead character, Max, a far cry from the 2017 #metoo drama he found himself amid after 5 women told the New York Times he had masturbated in front of them.

“These stories are true.,” he later admitted. “At the time, I said to myself that what I did was OK because I never showed a woman my d*** without asking first, which is also true. But what I learned later in life, too late, is that when you have power over another person, asking them to look at your d*** isn’t a question. It’s a predicament for them. The power I had over these women is that they admired me. And I wielded that power irresponsibly.”

FX Productions, TBS and HBO all ended their immediate projects with him and his production company, Pig Newton while Rose Byrne this week suggested it was “too soon” for his comeback.

7pm Saturday on Nine.
