Industry rumours are swirling that US drama Preacher is to shoot its next season in Melbourne, with Playmaker partnering with producers.

The AMC series, which stars Dominic Cooper as West Texas preacher Jesse Custer has screened three seasons but yet to be renewed for a fourth.

It has previously filmed in Albuquerque, New Mexico and New Orleans, Louisiana.

Sources suggest an announcement will be made after the Victorian election, due this Saturday.

Preacher airs in Australia through Stan.

  1. Ooooh that’s interesting, guess God has decided to come to Melbourne for a holiday, maybe God buys in to the hype of Melbourne being the most livable City and decides to check it out. In the comics they ended up in Monument Valley, Utah after New Orleans which they skipped to go to where Jesse was brought up and now looks like they’re skipping the 4th part with Jesse as a sheriff in Salvation, Texas.
