But where are Shannen Doherty and Luke Perry?

Jason Priestley, Ian Ziering, Jennie Garth, Tori Spelling, Brian Austin Green, and Gabrielle Carteris are reportedly attached to a plan to reboot Beverly Hills 90210.

The new version (which hopefully puts them down as parents of a next-gen cast) is to be steered by steered by the showrunners of 90210, the 2008 reboot.

The original series, created by Darren Star and produced by Aaron Spelling, ran for a decade from 1990 and spawned both spawned Melrose Place and Models Inc.

CBS Television Studios declined to comment.

  1. Stop. please stop, No one wants to see 50 year old’s acting like 40 year old’s. it’s bad enough they tried to pass of 20 year old’s as teens. Just stop with the rebooting, not everything needs a second or third reboot or spin off.

    1. To be fair the 2008 reboot garnered a decent following and ran for 5 seasons. Jenny Garth, Shannon Doherty, Tori Spelling and even Nat from the Peach Pitt appeared in that.

  2. Shannen and Jennie were regulars in the first season of the 2008 reboot, so I don’t see why Shannen can’t come back now. Luke Perry is currently Archie’s Dad in Riverdale, but you would think he could still do guest appearances. without Brenda and Dylan it would be too much like the later seasons of the original. i.e. it will feel like somethings missing.
