  1. One of the interesting comments I saw on YouTube is that the break isn’t that long. This recently concluded season occurred the latest in the year since 2005. As the production team are starting production on the new season after New Year’s it’s not unreasonable to assume that production will be completed by the end of the year. As it would be unexpected to start the new season in late November/early December (the season would cross the turn of the year) a January start would be more reasonable. So, I’m tipping a January/February 2020 start.

  2. With no series in 2019 I hope they spend that time wisely and give Jodie Whittaker something to get her teeth into. After the initial interest in the Doctor finally being a woman wore off the series was quite ho-hum.

    1. Yes, it is curious that the new female Dr Who is given a hiatus when really she should continue to gain hearts and minds after such a creative gamble by the BBC, especially with those rusted on Whovian’s who if they are anything like Star Trek fans will take some convincing about the merit of waiting so long for the next season.
