Oops. Make-up artist in news blooper.

Tamara Oudyn keeps her cool when a make-up artist is caught on camera.

ABC make-up artist Harriet O’Donnell made news herself when she was caught on camera during a Live news update from Victoria’s Tamara Oudyn.

Oudyn, who asked her to “jump out please,” kept her cool when she realised it was too late.

She added on Twitter, ‘We went to air a minute earlier than we’d prepared for. I thought perhaps the director was trying to give us a scare. Hence ‘are you kidding?'”

Ahh the perils of not having floor managers!

  1. The usual format for the pre-Q&A promo is to show the studio crew filling water glasses for the panel, doing last minute checks etc – maybe next time Tamara could just carry on as if it was staged to have the hairstylist in view

The hairstylist did well to scramble quickly and to remember her tool-box in the process

  2. I love it these days how the ABC computers just carry on, put anything to air, wrong captions, same wrong name caption left up over 3 items, remote reporters left hanging for 5-10 seconds after they’ve finished. Seems to be no human control over what goes out. In this instance she says there was a “director”. Too busy cueing up that annoying background noise perhaps.
