Must admit I thought 6 would be the last….
Ray Donovan has been renewed for a seventh season.
In the current sixth season Ray’s (Liev Schreiber) life is saved by a Staten Island cop named Mac (Domenick Lombardozzi), while Mickey (Voight) is on a mission to hunt him down.
Production of the new season is set to begin in 2019 in New York.
Season six finale is set for mid January on FOX Showcase in Australia.

This is a very pleasant surprise, I was with you, David. I need to crack into the new season though. Not started it yet.
Season 6 is a reconstruction process for Ray Donovan, something the show badly needed as it drifted along becoming increasingly introverted, difficult to watch and just plain sad. Personally, I think Ray needs a good send off, but the characters violent lifestyle doesn’t make for a happy ever after show finale.
I didn’t think it would live much past the death of Abby. Whaddo I know?
After what I thought was a weak S5, S6 is much more enjoyable. But what’s up with Foxtel playing it a week and a half after the US? I know there are bigger problems in the world than this, but they can play The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones up-to-date, surely they can take the hint that viewers want their shows up to date?
In the word of the great man himself; “Sure”.
And after a rocky last two seasons… (always still an enjoyable watch tho!), Ray is back to being great again. Season 6 has been ace so far.
