  1. I saw most of them, great stuff, but how The Bridge (3 seasons), the original on which The Tunnel is loosely based, wasn’t on that list is beyond me. The best drama I have seen in a long time and so worthwhile seeing. It can actually be binge watched!

  2. How’s that charter going for them? Not even close I dare say. Not sure I’m happy that my tax dollars are going to such a commercial entity.

      1. I’m not sure the Govt review looked too hard. Here is point number 1 on the charter:

“The principal function of the SBS is to provide multilingual and multicultural radio, television and digital media services that inform, educate and entertain all Australians and, in doing so, reflect Australia’s multicultural society”

I’m not sure how any of those shows reflect the charter.

        1. With several months and several million costing this Hanson-inspired review I think we can safely say they looked very hard and not just at 3 line paras. I’m on the record as questioning how Batman (amongst others) are on charter but the review found the definitions are very broad so you can make just about anything fit. To be fair multicultural does not = ethnic alone, it covers all kinds of social diversity.
