  1. The classic comedy Groundhog Day has had a few spin-offs but at least the original movie had a whole town to find new ways for Bill Murray to show his comedic skill, at first look Russian Doll does look to have limited appeal if a single party is its main theme, but we shall wait and see.

    1. Groundhog Day wasn’t original though, there was a TV short 12:01pm from 1990 that Groundhog Day took a lot from and the theme of living the same day (or year) over dates back to at least 1947 with the Joan Leslie and Louis Hayward film Repeat Performance.

Having said that though, yeah will wait and see as Netflix have done a few on this theme lately like Marlon Wayans Naked (based on the Swedish film Naken), ARQ and When We First Met, of course Happy Death Day also came to mind on this for mine (though that had a killer in). As a TV series hopefully it will be interesting, I remember one from back in 2006 called Day Break that only lasted 213 episodes that was quite good with Taye Diggs was kind of The Fugitive meets the repeating the same day genre.

Again though will give it a go, like Super Hero films and TV Shows which are basically all the same premise, so are good and so…
