Powerhouse US producer Dick Wolf is planning a spin-off of new crime procedural FBI for CBS.

FBI: Most Wanted will follow the division of the FBI tasked with tracking and capturing its most notorious criminals.

It will air as a planted spin-off episode, otherwise known as a “backdoor pilot”, of FBI to be broadcast later this year.
The project has received a series commitment from CBS.

Most Wanted will be written and executive produced by Dick Wolf and Rene Balcer (FBI, Chicago PD) and the latter will also direct.

CBS recently announced that FBI had been renewed for a second season, where it has been ranks as the network’s most-watched new series of the season.

It screens in Australia on 10.

  1. Wow, we’re still on season 1 & they’re already talking of a spin off. Let’s hope it does better than both the Criminal Minds spin offs, though I liked them both.
