6 Comments:

  1. Wishful thinking here, but I had hoped that in this new year, that there would be less split coding in the ratings. Knew it wouldnt happen though. lol.

Example – would be nice to just one code for Nine’s News and Hot Seat, instead of 2 each.
And to have 3 “segments” for the cricket instead of the current 5 (to be pre-game; game and post-game; instead of the current pre-game; session 1; innings break; session 2 and post-game)

  2. That’s a good result for the Hopman Cup and Nine. Not sure if any of Seven’s Hopman Cup entries even made the Top 20 last year? Last night it drove a 19% share for Nine’s main channel, no doubt helped by Perth (wouldn’t be surprised if Nine went close to beating Seven in Perth last night), as well as Brisbane. Because in Sydney and Perth the awaited Federer v Williams historic match was out of prime time (after midnight)!

    • It will be interesting when the Australian Open is up against the Big Bash…as not sure there is much interest in the Hopman cup in the Eastern states until the serious tennis starts in Melbourne on Jan 14.

      • Didn’t Seven boast in 2018 about winning all nights of the Australian Open? With BBL now simulcast on Foxtel and Nine being another high rating network (#1 in Sydney), I don’t think Nine will be worried what-so-ever.

Hopefully Aussies go far in the Aus Open, all eyes on up and comer de Minaur now!

  3. Good to see “The Godfather” on SBS-whatever last night, even if not subtitled. Note, all Marlon Brando films need to be subtitled.
Note to SBS and others. Films not subtitled I watch from another source.
