EXCLUSIVE: I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here will feature in this week’s episode of Gogglebox, despite Foxtel exec Brian Walsh vowing Yvie Jones and Angie Kent would not be appearing.
The finale saw Jones in the running for 10’s 2019 title with Shane Crawford and series winner Richard Reid.
With attempts to keep the Gogglebox cast from being perceived as celebrities, Walsh was unhappy with the Gogglebox brand being used by another show. He was also disappointed in comments by Jones and Kent around show salaries.
That surprised broadcast partners 10, while some viewers wanting to see Gogglebox reactions also criticised the ban.
Yvie Jones subsequently made it to the finale leaving Foxtel in the unavoidable position of including it this week.
Foxtel sources told TV Tonight the decision to now include it is based on it being the final of a competition reality show, in keeping with the UK experience where a Goggleboxer won the show.
Gogglebox airs 7:30pm Wednesday on LifeStyle and 8:30pm Thursday on 10.

Brian Walsh has been dragged , kinking and screaming, towards showing what the viewers want.
Now Brian , learn your lesson ,and sit with us and enjoy the show, not to mention your improved ratings because of our criticisms were heard,–and thanks Yvie for making the final to force the issue.
Finally, better late than never. I thought last week’s Gogglebox was the weakest.
That’s good, glad they will at least show the finale.
Still another reason not to get Foxtel…ever….
